Infographics And It's Impacts

Infographics are a visual representation of information or data, e.g. as a chart or diagram. How do you think infographics fit in with social media? Sure there are social media infographics out there that convey information about social media in a graphic format, but there is a really useful role infographics can play in anyone’s social media marketing campaigns that you should be taking advantage of.

Information Overload

With the constant hustle and bussle of modern life, people have short attention spans. This is demonstrated by the fact that most people will decide to leave a website or continue exploring it in the first 2-4 seconds of seeing the page. With very little time to convince people to stick around, infographics and visualizations are a more effective way to literally catch peoples’ eye.
Due to this overload you need to stick out to get people’s attention. Creating a compelling visualization of data or information can make it really stick out from all of the other noise of day-to-day life.

Social Media Demographic

After a huge growth in stock values after closing the third quarter, Facebook made an announcement that dropped their stocks – and people’s faith in them. Apparently Facebook is seeing a decline in interest from the “young teen” demographics that helped make it the most popular social media outlet in the world.

Moms are More Active on Social Media

+Mashable social media demographic Study

A recent survey by Experian shows that the largest, most engaging social media demographic may be one that will surprise you – or maybe it won’t.

Apparently this social group is young moms with young children – in particular, mothers of children 5 years old or younger who are somewhere between 25 years old and 35 years old. Those who engage with this demographic may find that this isn’t much of a surprise, as – statistically speaking – this demographic logs into and comments on social media sites twice as often as the general public does.

Twtter images

Twitter has just made an update to their update feeds that has big implications for people who post links to visual media in their updates – and those who get those updates in their feeds.

Now whenever a user posts a link to an image or a Vine, Twitter automatically displays a thumbnail of that image in the update feed, allowing users to see a preview or click directly on a Vine to play it right there in their own feed. Twitter has also reworked their controls for favoriting, replying, and retweeting in an attempt to make sharing these posts easier for users.

Tips to Set Instagram Ads

All About Instagram Ads
After announcing they would soon begin allowing advertisers to purchase and implement sponsored posts on users’ feeds, Instagram has allowed beta testing for this exciting new advertising opportunity. And while that does mean that small businesses aren’t yet open to advertising through Instagram, it does mean they need to be prepared.

Companies with active social media presences and even Instagram followings have a few key points they need to start thinking about now while major companies are advertising so that once the company allows wide access to sponsored posting, they’ll be ready to implement their own campaigns and have them optimized from the start.
