The social media outlet that began based on SMS messaging
limitations in 2006 has grown to be a major force on the internet and in the
social media world – and today made its presence felt finally in the stock
market with its IPO.
Settling now around an 80% increase to its initial stock
value, Twitter is making a big splash with initial investors willing to take a
risk on them. Much the same way, most of today’s biggest brands began taking
their own sorts of risks with Twitter accounts a few years ago before they
really knew what they were getting into.
